Dr. Chérif Mballo is Vice President of KDF Canada. He holds a PHD in computer science (machine learning methods and algorithms) and two master degrees in applied mathematics and in computer science (intelligent systems) from the Universite Paris Dauphine, France. Prior to that, Cherif earned a Master degree in computer sciences from the Universite Gaston Berger, Saint-Louis, Senegal. His research has been published in international journals and conferences.
He has over 15 years of combined professional experience as university professor and data scientist for major financial services companies, banks and in government in Canada. He has been practicing data analysis in the business world for several years (banking, insurance, taxation, etc.). His main areas of interest focus on machine learning algorithms to solve various business problems (behavior modeling).
Dr. Mballo is an advocate for equitable access to high quality and affordable education and healthcare for all. He is a regular donor to students and underprivileged people in his home village in Kolda and the Cercle d’Or of Canada. He speaks French, English, Pulaar and Wolof.
