Niary Baldé is the President of KDF Canada and Secretary of KDF International. He holds a master’s degree in humanitarian program management from Université Paris, Est Créteil, France, and a master’s degree in business law from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, Paris, France. Prior to that, Niary earned a bachelor’s degree in political sciences from Université Gaston Berger, Saint-Louis, Senegal. In addition, Niary received several other professional training in public administration from the University of Liège in Belgium and in taxation in Canada.
Niary has 15 years of professional experience. He is the head of a specialized tax audit department at Revenu du Québec where Niary has held the positions of tax auditor and tax advisor. While living in France, he worked as an intern with the International Committee of the Red Cross and at Oxfam France. He was also employed by the NGO “Action contre la Faim” in Paris in the transport and logistics department where he took care of the purchase and shipment of medicines and other essential products, to different offices in the world, including to conflict or post-conflict zones. The aid was intended for very vulnerable populations such as children, women, sick or people with disability.
Niary Baldé is an advocate for the most vulnerable populations and an activist for social justice. Mr. Baldé is one of the founding members of the “l’Association d’Appui à la Performance Scolaire au Fouladou”, a not for profit organization (NPO) created in Quebec by nationals of the Kolda region (Senegal). The main mission of the NPO was to improve the academic performance of students from Kolda who are socially disadvantaged by providing them financial and material support. Niary Baldé resides in the province of Quebec and speaks several languages: French, English, Pulaar, Mandingo and Wolof.
