Vulnerable and marginalized people in Kolda, Senegal face many healthcare challenges such as:

  1. Disparities that result in a daily loss of lives in rural and underserved areas;
  2. Lack of an the insufficient number of physicians including radiologists and OB/GYN, which makes basic medical check-ups and screening tests unavailable to pregnant women, thus resulting  in high maternal and infant mortality rate
  3. The higher medical cost deprives millions from necessary preventive care
  4. hospital and health centers with inadequate diagnostic and treatment capabilities
  5. Poor customer service

KDF helps tackle these challenges through partnership, capacity building, technology transfer, and business process reengineering to improve the quality and efficiency of service delivery.
